Our partner Anthony Gray has won meaningful results in bankruptcy cases throughout the country as counsel to official committees and ad hoc groups of creditors and equity security holders, trade vendors, secured creditors, debtors, trustees, landlords, equipment lessors, and asset purchasers. Mr. Gray's representative bankruptcy and restructuring engagements have included the following clients and matters:
- the official creditors' committee in the Hi-Temp Specialty Metals Chapter 11 case and, following conversion, the Chapter 7 Trustee (in each instance as special litigation counsel);
- the official creditors' committee in the Trans National Communications International Chapter 11 case (served as Massachusetts counsel for the committee);
- the official creditors' committee in the ViviSource Laboratories Chapter 11 case;
- individual Chapter 7 business debtor in successfully defending against bank's adversary proceeding objecting to the debtor's receipt of a discharge and challenging the dischargeability of certain debts;
- the official creditors' committee and liquidating trust in the Pac-West Telecomm Chapter 11 case;
- as bankruptcy and appellate counsel, the target of millions of dollars of claims asserted by a debtor corporation and its former owners;
- a prominent newspaper in connection with collecting debt and defending against avoidance actions in bankruptcy cases nationwide;
- an individual debtor to obtain a discharge of $1.4 million in business debt;
- lenders furnishing DIP loans to a septic-systems cleaning and construction debtor with multi-state operations; and
- the official creditors' committee in the Chapter 11 cases of former heavy-weight boxing champion Mike Tyson and his management company.
